Humic substance producer HUMINTECH converts production to 100 % sustainability by 2023

In its own press release, the biotech company from Grevenbroich announces that it will review the entire production chain by the end of 2021 and then convert step by step. The application of the products in agriculture, industry and environmental technology serves to remediate soil and water and is capable of removing CO2 from the atmosphere. So it is self evident to release as little as possible themselves.
CO2 sequestration through humus formation
Humintech has been supporting sustainable agriculture from production to cultivation and distribution for over 45 years. Building humus in intensively used or degraded soils around the world has sequestered countless tons of CO2 in the soil and secured the livelihoods of countless small farmers and farm workers.
Humintech also produces sustainable alternatives for environmental technology and industry, products that clean water or turn waste into recyclable materials.
Become sustainable all around
But that is not enough for CEO Müfit Tarhan and Aydogan Cengiz; by 2023, production is to be 100 % sustainable. Until the end of 2021, an audit will be conducted to determine where sustainability and CO2 optimization should take place.
The sustainability strategy that will then be in place is to be implemented by 2023. The entire production chain will be reviewed, from raw material suppliers to transport companies, production processes, packaging, energy balance and, of course, recycling of valuable "waste".

Circular Economy has been the basis of Humintech's business idea since 1999. Now the circle is closed – with a strategy for 100 % sustainable production. "It is good that standards are being developed to measure sustainable agriculture. We will strive to support these with our products."
