Humic acids in hydroponic systems
Generally speaking, there is no quick fix in the world of hydroponic growing. However, there is one additive which can improve the performance of the nutrient solution. Humic acids from highly oxidized lignite, due to the chelation/complexation process, can enhance the availability of nutrients to plants in the nutrient solution.
When nutrients are readily available to plants, photosynthesis is increased. Therefore, plants will be able to create and store more carbohydrates so that they can use all the energy needed to grow quickly. As a result, a well-developed root system with a larger volume of root hairs and feeder roots will enable the plant to take in other necessary nutrients in the solution to accelerate cell division more quickly. This will continue stimulating plant growth, resulting in an earlier harvest with an increased yield.
