Particle

The term particle is commonly used in physics to refer to a very small particle. A microscopically small droplet of water in the fog can also be regarded as a particle as well as elementary particles (e.g. electrons, protons, atoms or ions). Unless one refers to nuclear physics, particle is usually associated with an object that either forms a single crystal or has a regular shape (with a specific weight) that is similar to a single crystal.
